Best Buy HOPE Fund
On February 1st, 2021 the Best Buy HOPE (Helping Our People in Emergencies) Fund was launched. This is a charitable fund created in partnership with RMSFF to help Best Buy employees who are facing a financial hardship due to unforeseen personal events beyond their control.
Who and what qualifies for the Best Buy HOPE fund?
- Applicants must be an employee of Best Buy , Inc. or its subsidiaries who have at least one year of continuous service and are facing a personal financial hardship because of unforeseen circumstances.
- The incident causing the financial hardship must fall within qualifying categories, must be unexpected and outside the applicant’s control, and is an incident that does not qualify for relief under the existing disaster relief funds. Examples of the kinds of assistance available include but are not limited to medical and mental health expenses not covered by insurance, assistance with funeral expenses and moving expenses due to unsafe living situations.
- The incident that caused financial hardship must have occurred within 150 days of the application
