Kansas City’s Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge Holds Grand Unveiling
With the American Cancer Society (ACS), we recently celebrated the unveiling of another Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge. A $2 million RMSFF challenge grant and ACS Kansas City community fundraising efforts resulted in a much-needed $7 million renovation. Now available to patients and their families are 42 private suites, a fully equipped kitchen, a rejuvenating gym, and a meditation room.

Present at the unveiling on behalf of the Foundation was our legal counsel, Kelly Webster.
Kelly is pictured left with the Sandra J. Schulze memorial picture and plaque, which are now in place at all Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodges.
Since 2000, Hope Lodge Kansas City has opened its doors to thousands of families, providing over 438,000 free nights of lodging. Those free nights saved families nearly $26 million in hotel costs.
The Kansas City ACS says the renovated lodge is a true home away from home. Successful fundraising for the renovation “… is a testament to the power of community support in the fight against cancer, and we are so excited to witness the renewed comfort and hope this space was built to provide.” Watch this short video to see the remodel outcomes.
