Foundation Awarded over $12 million in Grants for Spring 2018
At its Spring 2018 meeting, the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation board of trustees approved 205 grants totaling almost $12 million in the Foundation’s program areas of Education, Human & Social Services, and Health & Medicine.
Grants awarded include:
- Grants totaling over $6.5 million in the Education focus area, directed toward summer learning programs; early childhood; after-school programs and camps; reading programs; mentoring and tutoring programs; and scholarships.
- Grants totaling over $4.6 million in the Human & Social Services area, focused on supporting organizations providing family services programming; hunger abatement and temporary housing or shelter; job training; and emergency services assistance, all aimed at helping individuals and families move toward self-sufficiency.
- Grants totaling over $700,000 in the Health & Medicine focus area to organizations providing services to individuals facing serious health crises; quality of life programming, patient support, education and outreach.
