Organization Grant Funding
We receive requests from many deserving organizations each award cycle and careful consideration is given to each request when making funding decisions. Nearly all requests submitted are deserving, but not all are the work of this Foundation. So, before applying, please take some time to learn more about our program areas and make sure your request is aligned with our eligibility criteria below.
Are you eligible?
Do you have IRS Tax-Exempt Status? RMSFF grantees must be nonprofit organizations with tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Grantees must be organized and operated for charitable purposes.
Are you serving the geographic locations we support? Grantees must serve the people and communities of Anoka, Hennepin, Ramsey, Washington, Carver, Scott and Dakota counties in Minnesota or Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee Counties in Florida. Proposals for counties outside of these locations are by RMSFF invitation only.
Are you asking for funding outside our focus areas? We do not fund individuals (unless through our scholarship program), for-profit business, special events or conferences, endowments, the Arts, athletics, religious organizations or organizations outside the seven-county (Anoka, Hennepin, Ramsey, Washington, Carver, Scott and Dakota) Minnesota or five-county (Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee) Florida areas mentioned above. We also do not support loans, event fundraisers or sponsorships, labor organizations, lobbying, political campaigns, organizations or work conducted outside of the United States. We are open by invitation only to funding for high performing schools and to mental health organizations with a lengthy and positive funding history with the Foundation and that provide prevention, early intervention and children’s/adolescent mental health services.
