Minnesota Citizens League honors Kathleen Blatz

Kathleen Blatz was honored at the Minnesota Citizens League‘s annual civic celebration on March 16, 2023. The event recognizes the courageous leadership and dedicated public service of extraordinary Minnesotans. Blatz, former chief justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court and Minnesota State Legislator, is an extraordinary citizen who was honored alongside Edwina Garcia, former Minnesota State Legislator and Richfield City Council member.

Kathleen was the youngest female legislator elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1978. She later became the first female chief justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court. Watch the League’s video about Kathleen.
