How to Apply for a Foundation Grant

The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation utilizes an online grant application. Potential grant applicants must represent organizations based and operated out of Dakota, Hennepin and Ramsey counties of Minnesota; Lee, Collier and Hendry counties of Florida and Napa County, California, and must align with our giving focus areas.

When invited by the Foundation to submit an online Letter of Intent, applicants will be contacted with the necessary information to complete the form. Applicants will be notified within 14 days of receipt of the LOI. The deadlines for completed LOIs are March 1, 2010 and August 1, 2010. If the LOI determination is approved, applicants will be informed via e-mail and invited to complete the online Grant Proposal.

The deadlines for completed grant proposals are March 15, 2010 and August 15, 2010. Proposals are reviewed during the April and September Board Meetings. Applicants will be notified by mail as to whether or not the grant was approved.

Grants offered by the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation will be monitored for outcome. Upon completion of the project/program, a final report on the project/program is to be filed with the Foundation. The report is to be filed at the online grant application site. Prior grantees must have all grant reports due to the Foundation filed before another LOI is accepted. Please respond by the requested report date with information outlined in the online report form. Direction will be provided via an e-mail reminder regarding the report. Timely submission is required for receipt of scheduled grant payments.

The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation does not accept unsolicited Letters of Intent or Grant Proposals.
